Teaching excellence in Computer Science

Congratulations to our Director of eLearning Mr Froggatt on being awarded a Computer at Schools Master Teacher status in Computer Science. This award is given to by Computing At School (CAS) to experienced, high-performing classroom teachers with a passion for the subject and a desire to support others.

CAS Master Teachers:

• Champion computer science in schools and the wider teaching profession
• Provide training, mentoring and coaching to teachers in their local communities
• Support collaboration between schools and universities

We are also pleased to announce that Chipping Campden School has been awarded lead school status in the Network of Teaching Excellence in Computer Science.

These schools take a particular lead for Computing education through their curriculum and extra-curricular engagement with the subject. They also commit to take a lead for the subject in their local area by 'adopting' at least one other school, and working with them to enhance the status of Computing in that school.

Computing At School is part of BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, with a mission to promote and support excellence in computer science education. Both of these prestigious awards are supported by the Department for Education.
